'Sand' is a story that, through voices, explores passing encounters, connections, fears, questions, and company.
I wrote this short story back in February of 2020, and now I'm glad to share the English Edition. It is currently available in the Kindle Store!
The development for Pale Blue Eyes started around my second year in Argentina. I had been exploring some stories for possible scripts and in a brainstorming session with Kevin, we asked ourselves the question: What if computers and cell phones were replaced by an operating system accessible through a brain implant? It was the kind of ideas that once they fall into place, you just can't let them go. It wasn't long after that I pitched it to Bruno and with that, everything started.
Bruno and I continued developing the concept for a while. Little by little, the story and the concept evolved into an exploration of the human mind and its need for connection. I would be lying if I told you that production was a breeze. It was hard and I wouldn't finish listing all the mistakes we made along the way, but despite everything, this short film taught us a lot, and we wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been for the team that accompanied us along the way. Now, Eyes is finally available via Vimeo On Demand to the public! I am happy to finally be able to share this with you, since it is a short film that I’m very fond of. I hope you enjoy it!
'Dream' is a miniseries that we filmed during the last months in quarantine. It is a story that explores the emotions that are born in isolation and how interpersonal connections can transcend beyond our four walls. My sister Melanie, our colleague Jeho, and I have been working on this for several weeks, and that’s why I am so happy to finally be able to share it.
The first episode will be available on VIZU's YouTube channel starting this Saturday, September 26. Let's go back to the summer of 2009 for a moment. In the backyard of a house in Albrook, a group of teenagers create a small production company called Vizu’s Films. It all started as a hobby. One of those adventures that is worth it since you embark it with friends.
Over time, that small group grew. Between 2009 and 2010, they filmed El Caballero Blanco, a film about a superhero who fought corruption in Panama. In 2011, the film opened in a one-off screening at a local movie theater. After this, they produce two short films, until the group disintegrated in early 2013. Now, a decade after starting that adventure, my sister Melanie Vizuete and I decided to honor the legacy of what Vizu’s Films meant at the beginning of our artistic career. VIZUS is an audiovisual production company founded by the Vizuete Siblings, which will seek to continue telling stories, just as we did all those years ago. Stories that can change you, just as they changed us. You can follow VIZUS here! |
